In a place where love is creamy buttercream swirling around the mixer paddle while children laugh and play in the next room, and home is the spicy, comforting smell of fresh baked carrot cake in the air in the far corners of the house, Cassie’s Confections thrives. I’m Cassie, the everything behind my bakery. My family is my life and my cakes are my passion, and the blessing of being able to enjoy both at the same time is not lost on me.

I am not your average baker… as a former hairstylist, TaeKwonDo 2nd degree black belt instructor and co-owner of a TaeKwonDo school, as well as a wife and momma of four wonderful kids, ages 5 to 11, my love of sweets has nestled itself nicely into a most fulfilling life. My husband and I have been married for nearly 15 years now, together since we were just babies 18 years ago. Our family is extremely competitive in many sports, including TaeKwonDo, dance, soccer, football, cheerleading, basketball and softball currently. Our souls are often at rest when we are camped out at a field or studio cheering on one of our little ones. Our love of football also extends to the pros, as we are huge Denver Broncos fans and my husband and I attend nearly every home game.

Cassie’s Confections is a home-based bakery located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I am completely self-taught and started this business from literally nothing. I am so thankful to have a second kitchen (“The Bakery”) in my home that is separate from my family but so very near, convenient, and very much my own inspirational space. Cassie’s Confections operates under Colorado’s Cottage Food Act, and cleanliness and professionalism are among my top priorities.

As a baker and cake designer, I strive to learn something new with each and every order that leaves my bakery and perfection is always my goal, from delicious flavors that leave you wanting more to beautiful, clean and elegant designs that leave a lasting impression on your guests. I adore the thrill of something new each week and the challenge of discovering or creating new techniques, tools and ingredients. I love to teach – my YouTube channel is my secret joy. I love to write – my blog (although neglected recently due to family obligations) is my own special space on the web. I hope you too find inspiration in this space.
